insp on dash and fuel consumption
« on: 26 September 2007, 17:17 »
i've got a 1999 mk4 gti turbo and couple of days ago when i started it on the digital odometer a message come up saying insp. how do i get this removed.
Also since i bought the car its being heavy on the fuel, i've serviced it but its still heavy fuel especially on the motorways.
is this a common problem, i don't expect it to be good on petrol but this is taking the mick.
thanks trevor

insp means its telling you the car is due a service.  has it been serviced recently?

poor fuel consumption can be a number of things; have a search through the MKIV section :afro:  if it hasn't been serviced then i start with that and change all the filters etc
