hmm.. Having just bought the VR6 and driven around a bit, and having a mate with a VR6 who's got Koni Coilovers, I'm now convinced I need to sort the suspension out

....
It's not the lowering/handling aspect really, more the actual quality of the ride. The stock springs seem to quite amazingly not cushion the bumps as you hit them,
and immediately afterwards roll around quite a bit... It's kinda like someone whacking you on the arse with a plank while you're standing on a boat... (ok, I'm exaggerating there.. It's not that bad really, but not that great either

)
Like I say, a mate has some £450 worth of Koni coilovers and that seems quite nice, but I haven't sampled anything else really so can't compare. I've had a little look around for comparisons but there don't seem to be many.
Oh yeah.. budget will depend on how much I can sell my old escort for (£200-£400ish probably), and the rebate from cancelling my old insurance policy ('bout £300).. So call it up to £550-600 I guess. I'll need to hold a little back to get the tracking/camber/etc sorted out afterwards - I have experienced friends to help with actual fitting, but would rather leave the alignment stuff to someone who knows their $hit.
Any suggestions? Just point me at a good comparison if you know of one!
Cheers!
