Although i've been registered on this site for about 2/3 weeks never really introduced myself so here goes...
Due to having a small child had to sell my original pride and joy, a 1992 classic mini cooper 1.3i, and after dabbling with a rover (dont ask) and a Escort TD (once again dont ask) i stumbled upon a 1988 'E' reg Mk2 8v GTi 5 door (wifes happy as she thinks its another family car!) 160000 miles but FSH and only 1 owner from new. Full leather interior (looking tired now but ok) Front and rear leccy windows, full CL and insurance approved Cobra alarm system.
Started by carrying out Gear linkages and weighted gear mod, then Headlight wiring mod and finally laying flat rear wiper (all the cheap and quick(?))
Not really sure what best to do next but if any one has any ideas....
