rattle at 2100rpm

noticed over last coupel of days i geta faint rattle noise coming from the drivers side of the car it does this in 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th gear at approx 2100 rpm once u get beyond this figure or below its absolutely perfect, its an 02 plate se TDI with 37k on the clock any help pls post thanks and happy easter  :laugh:

it's not your stereo is it? mine rattles odd bits do as car vibrates?!? is it an internal or external rattle?

its not stereo its def a external rattle mite be comign from exhaust but i think thats on the left side

all you can do mate is get somebody to rev it and u go underneath with a torch and try an locate the issue....

More than likely your middle exhaust bracket, they always snap on the MK4, it is above a crossmenmber so without a ramp it is difficult to see, It can be fixed with a large jubliee clip, but will be a damn sight easier on a ramp, Can't explain how to do it, but it will all become clear when you get under the car with a tourch
