Hi people,
Having a problem on my MK3 8v regarding the ABS warning light. The light should, I gather, come on when the car is started, but extinguish after about 3 seconds. However, mine has never come on since I bought the car a couple of months ago. I recently found that the little bulb on the 'ABS/AIRBAG circuit board' behind the dash panel was blown. I have just bought another one in good condition from my local breakers yard, tested the bulb for continuity, but found after fitting that it still does not light. From what I understand about ABS systems, the light should illuminate continually if there is a fault with the system.
Any feedback as to the cause of this is very much appreciated as I gather that this is an MOT failure point.
