i think the main area that needs doing on a kr head is the exhaust ports as there is like a right angle in it!! ive been having a look at heads in usa and you can get some very good deals, im not sure how much it would cost to get one into the country :undecided:

I'm going to ahve a go at my own!!!
My dad is a dab hand with a die grinder and said he will have a go at it! Apparantly the mirror polish reduces BHP, and you just need a finger smooth finish.

Looking for a cheap 16v head now!

even just taking out the casting imperfections appparently vastly improves gas flow. I'm sure it'll be obvious when I get it

as far as i kno, you want the exhaust ports as smooth as possible,

and the inlets smooth, but not too smooth ie no casting imperfections etc as mentioned , as the roughness can help agiate the air/fuel mix, so its mixed better for a bigger bang

some correct me if i am wrong though

I dont think anyone will correct you mate. From my recent experience of ringing round reptuable engine builders i found that opinions vary vastly! Some say do one thing and other say not too. It would be nice if we could compare the results of each companies work on a standard valver to compare the results. But thats not gonna happen. So i decided to go with the company that sounded like they knew the most and has some evidence to prove their results. So fingers crossed their magic will do wonders for my engine too. Im hoping for 195 bhp from my 2.0 na valver on its origional k-jet injection. Watch this space (or even my project section) for the results in a month or 2.
