Yeah, they partially clip on, but have 3 bolts and/or torx screws, too, IIRC. (I took the pair of mine off to be colour coded last April).
Check out the VW speed shop on Ebay. They only sell OE stuff, & none of that crappy fibre glass stuff. (Anni ones look as sweet as.....)
