Sorry but I seem a bit old to be part of your scene nevertheless I run a late Mk1 Cabrio GTI and a very late Mk2 GTI, both '91 models.
Despite having owned GTI's before most of this generation, I have never moved beyond the Mk2 as I consider it to be the best of the GTI's despite later versions with more power and weight. Both my cars are in excess of 100K and the Cabrio has toured Spain and France without drama.
Where? South-West on the border of Somerset/Dorset-there seem to a lot of older GTI's but not much in the way of somewhere to meet?
