Reject or get some new pads/discs and tires atleast!!  Threaten the dealer with exposure?  Not yourself mind

Forget the break pads and disks - I'd be very worried about long term damage to the engine if its been thrashed and not run in properly.  At the end of the day it just shows the previous owners attitude to the car - have it for a year, thrash the living daylights out of it and part-ex at the local dealers for another victim.

Just been reminded by my misses...

Our 306 GTi-6 which was a brand new motor had over 300 miles on the clock, at the time we thought nothing of it as we were so excited about our first new motor.  But that car was a dog and we found out through the grapevine that our car was used on track before we got it!!!!  Gutted.........  It would explain the issues we had, from brakes to steering the motor was a mess.....  Never again!

Let us know how you get on with the rejection...  Let them know your a Golf Forum user and will name and shame, it can work wonders....

I took my Skyline out to the Nurburg Ring and thraped it round there...

defo a good idea to uprate brake fluid, pipes and pads. Oil cooler, better oil and maybe even power steering fluid depending if yours has a cooler or not.

Im sure the engine can take it but it definetly needs time to be run in. If it was a good price do a full service and hopefully everything should be fine. By the way how much did u get it for?
