Orange warning light
« on: 20 February 2006, 15:49 »
A bit random this one so I will appoligise now.
Ive just had come up an Orange warning light on the dash, it is the one to the right of the "handbrake on" light (round circle with bits round the side!! :embarassed:)
Pressuming that is the "brake pad low" warning light? or low brake fluid.
Dont have my Haines manual to hand.

yes it is. There's three tests you can do to work out what it means:

1. Check your brake fluid
2. Check your pads
3. Brake hard from around 30mph and see if ABS still works

Thanks Dom

Is it just the front that have wear sensors or the rears aswell?
All corners look as thin as waffers mind you?
What do pads cost these days, last time i did pads was when i was a student on my MK2 Fiesta 1.1 speed machine!!

Halfords, Eurocar parts?

Thats the pads warning light. They only have wear sensors on the front pads.  I prefer the Textar pads from GSF. A bit more than the cheaper brands though.
