the steering on my mrk 2 is crap at hi speed and when you turn fast,, yet when you do it slow it is fine and turns the weels as soon as you move the steerin weel, i had a 16v b for and its steering was the best eva, what could be up with it? how do i solve it? thanks

does i wander at high speed
i am getting a similar problem on mine
ive put it down to the crappy tyres on there at the moment

If the steering wanders at high speed, then check your front wishbone bushes. If they are all cracking up then they are shot.

I had that problem and was fixed by new bushes and got the car tracking done.
Ive just got one problem...My car feels heavy when i turn left. Anyone got ne clues?

make sure your tracking and camber are ok, might be top mounts or ball joints stiff.

yeah just on what modulater was saying, id replaced the top mounts last year, but getting a 4wheel alignment & camber totally changed the characterisitcs of the car, and when the fella showed me the diagram before & after i realised why!!
