Big things to do
« on: 07 January 2006, 23:16 »
Well, looks like in the next six weeks my work is moving to Canary Wharf, which means I'll be at the mercy of the underground again.
This means I won't need to use my car very much, so it will be going up the driveway for a big makeover, in the form of Michelle McManus to Jessica Alba...

The main areas of attention will be:

Mk5 Polo, Mk3 or Mk4 Golf Dash conversion with all heater/in car electrics mk4 clocks moved into my gti.
1.8 16v from the valver or 2.0 16v from an Audi engine conversion, or turbo up my 8v
Carputer using mac mini as base, alpine amp with 17cm alpine components in the front, my vibe 12" sub in the boot.
TT seats if i can find the 'baseball' trimmed seats, otherwise some nice recaros and a corrado rear bench will do.
Angel Eyes, Crystal Spots, Big Bumpers, Smoked Indicators and Clear Fogs.
Audi Handles
Nice respray

So I just need to work out what I'll be doing, I have a budget of around £500 a month, and most will have to be done by myself  :undecided:

I just had a thought, is there anyone on here that does carbon fibre? Would it be possible for me to fit the mk4 dash, then take it out and get a dash made of carbon fibre...mmmm sexy weight savings...
