I Know whats coming ............... "Go and buy a VR6!"ÂÂÂ
hehe
anyone ever seen one of these fitted in the uk
http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/kits/kit_VW_20L8V_Intercooled.htm
would make for a prietty unique 8V, I estimate pushing 200bhp with the right filter / exhaust / tuning
its gonna cost ya £1500 tho! Still chepaer than a 20V T conversion

If in doubt, pay someone else to do it!

think youv said it tbh. If you sold your 8v and bought a vr6 I recon you would use less of that £1500, plus if your really lucky, inherit leather seats and the likes. I know what id do

I'm with Phil
And you would probably have enough left over to get a chip/remap to take the Vr6 to 205bhp or more!

A VR6 would be the easy and sensible option, but if you want something a bit different, i say go for it!
It be an exciting project!

A VR6 isn't a way of life, it's just a car.
