« on: 03 January 2006, 22:47 »
hi guys, i was wondering if anyone every looks at their oil temp while driving along....

i drove up to the coast a few days ago and my oil temp was reaching 106-c while at a constant 110mph.... is that normal??? my normal temp is about 88-94 during normal driving conditions....

can anyone tell me if this is normal or does my car not like the oil i feed it :(

cheers guys...

Jesus, what is wrong with my motor   I reach 88c when it was a 1.8 8v & 91 MAX when stuck in traffic in summer, now I have a 2.0L 8v after 40mins of driving I managed to reach 79c (after a 20min jam it got to 86c)

Hopefuly it's low due to it's full rebuild or my theromstat is jammed open???  :undecided:

75-90 idle

90-120 under load.

bear in mind you were doing 110 constant, so 106 degrees is nothing to worry about. There are plenty of topics about this have a search
