Web page help
« on: 09 November 2003, 11:41 »
I need to tap some brains on this one. It has me about pulling out my hair. I have been toying around making a web page about my GTI and I can't get the @#$% thing to load. :) I understand that I am just a little challenged when it comes to HTML and all that but it can't be this hard. I created the page in coffeecup html editor 9.5 and have been trying to load it to the public folder of my domain using WS FTP. I can access my public folder and put the files in place but when I go to view the page it says "you are forbidden to view this page from this server" or something like that. What am I doing wrong here. Am I missing a step some place? The last website I had up and running I did exactly the same way as I have done this one and it worked excellent. Perhaps my provider is just rubbish. Any help or pointers on this would be greatly appreciated. I've got the old girl looking good aand I can't show it off to the rest of the world.  :(

I think I may have this sorted now. evidently I have to load the content to my server through FTP and then after that go into the admin control panel and reload the page. If I skip the last step for some reason it just pops up an error message. I guess we will see. Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this and scratch their heads for me. :)
