OK so i've had the wishbones done BUT it drives so badly i'm worried about driving it as it seems to want to pull left and right at all speeds and doesnt correct itself from a left or right turn..(steering wheel doesnt straighten itself)

The steering wheel is also not straight when the wheels are, and it was before?

Going to try and get the tracking looked at this afternoon so will repost after..

Bottled out of tracking as read in the Golf mag that if they adjust the tracking with the wrong side the track rod will need to be removed and reset????

Drove past KwikFit and thought mmm would they know or would they give a Toss?!

And to be honest i'm getting fed up with renewing all these parts and having more grief!

On some it can only be adjusted on one side, however - Tracking! Find yourself a reputable garage!

Found myself a place with 4 wheel computerised tracking (like you suggested) and have had it done and what a difference it has made, it feels like brand new!!

Im so happy you wouldnt believe

The guy doing it was really great and really took his time and explained all aspects of it, when he finished he gave me a print out of figures and computer diagrams of my wheels and said the toe in or out or something was an inch out and would have been a danger to drive - whoops! He was also amazed that it was still as straight being a 15 year old car with the two axles being 0.00 which means spot on  :nerd: (i know theres only one axle but thats how he explained it)

Just a follow up to say if you have fitted new/lowered supsension then get it on the computer set up as its the making of the car IMO

Thats the last present for the car this year!!

Cool. Yeah with any suspension work the alignment should be done. Makes a big difference to the drive dosen't it !

Cant believe what a diference it makes, really enjoy driving it again  Nice one Organisys

Only thing is i might need to replace the rear bushes as i think there knocking, and want to replace the front/rear ARB's with Neuspeed one's and also the rear suspension top bushes but not sure if it will mess up the work i've had done?   I've already done all the front of the car, so i dont need to disturb the front...mmm decisions decisions

There is not much adjustability on the back end anyway. The rear beam bushed are a common failure, had to do mine a few months back.

If you fit ARB's to the front, you are going to have to re-do the alignment.
