Did my eyes deceive me?
« on: 12 December 2005, 18:37 »
Maybe I dreamt it, but I'm sure I saw a Mk2 on a well known auction site recently that was apparently converted to 2.2 litres.

Is this possible?  I am assuming it is an Audi lump if so, but not come across it before.  What sort of power would this give?  Easy conversion?

Please tell me this isn't just some random dream!!

I think the biggest you can get the 4 cylinder engine is 2.1 litres.
The Audi engine wouldn't fit as its a 5 cylinder.

Well that answers that!  Is the 2.1 just an extension of the 2l block?
