I always thought that if you had holes in the wing for side repeaters then you need to have them working, unless you know the MOT man.

As for the retest bit, I spoke to the lads that I take my car to and they said that if your car fails on whatever, the reason they have to charge a full re-test is because under the new system they are not allowed to just test the failed items, they have to give the car a full test and yes, garages have already been caught out with the timing side of it, as in, I'll set the clock off, go and have a cup of tea, a sh1t and then finish the test etc.
......now officially dubless.

i guess ill find out at 4pm

the horn started working on its own after a bit of a drive last night, the sidelight bulb that i thought had blown started working again too ? the brakes improved a bit (it has been standing for quite some time), stopped fine when the car was on the move, but with the car stopped, engine still running, i could push the brake pedal all the way to the floor.. cant remember if thats normal or not. we do know the mot guy quite well but there isnt so much of a "buffer" these days with the new barcode/computerised system in place :undecided:

i did notice though, that my rear numberplate was half hanging off.. looks like one of the retaining clips in the tailgate has broken.. ill just have to drive slow till thats fixed.... nahhh!

passed first time

tester asked where the side repeaters were, so we poked him in the eye and legged it.
