vr6 highline engine

Hi, I'm interested in knowing how much horsepower the vr6 highline engine 2.8 litre version has standard, as I have a friend with a standard vr6 highline engine running around 190bhp, is this what the 2.8 highline engines produce, because on Parkers it says they run 174bhp, the same as a standard vr6 lump.
What is the difference between the two the standard 2.8 vr6 engine and the 2.8 vr highline engine, or is there no difference?

there is nothing special about a highline engine, its 174-176 bhp, the highline is the standard of model, I.E. a highline had a full leather interior and A/C etc. Usually only came in Mulberry and Black i think

ok, thanks for that. Am i right in thinking the engine code for these engine is AAA?

2.8 engines are AAA, the 2.9s are ABV.

just so happens i have an engine for sale, what year is it for, as there is a difference between early and late models.....

It's for a conversion in a mk2 golf, but looking for an AAA engine code, with everything for a mk2 conversion.

i can supply you with everything bar the loom as this is damaged, the engine has been fully rebuilt and has a stage 2 head crane cams and a the ecu is chipped to match, g/box is also sweet....
