woohoo - remap at AMD booked!
« on: 08 November 2005, 20:41 »
The goal for this year was to finish the engine side of things. It's taken me almost 18 months since I had the conversion, but it's all coming together next week.

Booked into AMD in Oxfordshire for the all important remap. They'll run the car before and after so I'll finally find out how much I've been tottling around with. They guess probably 200bhp. then after I'll be pushing 230bhp fingers crossed.

I shall let you know the outcome and hopefully be attending the RR day :D

'standard' VAG (bosch) management on the original map at the mo. got a bleed valve on there though to adjust the boost in a cowboy fashion. Going back to N75 before next week so they can map it good and proper.

Alex from work just took it to mcdonalds to get lunch. he said there was so much torque steer he almost mounted the kerb as she just roared and banged as it launched out of mcds drivethru. (and then noticed he'd tipped a large fanta all in my footwell. grrr.)
