How much for a Mk3 GTI 8v

1997 with about 40k on the clock, one owner and in a reasonable condition?

5K VR6 u been looking at the volkswizards website too much!!
Does it have air con? CD? FSH?  why only reasonable condiiton with that low milage?

They've not really looked after it as much as they should've. Got a few scratches and a little dent on the offside front wing. Has AC but i'm not sure about the cd. Has sh aswell.

I'm in a quonda. Do i keep my mk2 16v or buy the mk3 8v? Things are starting to go on the 16v so looking for a new car. I just don't know what to do.

The heater matrix went a while ago, think the gearbox may go soon, MFA has stopped working and rust is coming through.

If you go to the autotrader.co.uk website there's a link to parkers price guide where you can input the make, model, variant, age and mileage and it'll give you a guide to the value, whether it be private or trade sale. I found it useful and quite accurate, having looked about on autotrader for a few months.
