I have a mollycoddled 10,000 mile 2016 Clubsport S that isn't used during the colder months and I was shocked by the state of the rear arms and subframe while on the ramp last week. When I bought it 2 years ago it was like a new car underneath, but 6,000 dry - and very occasionally wet - miles (no salt) has taken its toll. So far only superficial rust, flaking and loss of paint, but a poor reflection of the quality of the protection on these components. So do please check yours - and protect them.
I cleaned and wire brushed every affected part, treated with epoxy Jenolite spray, then 2 coats of Dynax UB and all looks great again.
