I don’t understand why people blank out reg numbers, looks dodgy and it’s the first thing I’d ask for if enquiring about the vehicle.

It’s a potential car cloning thing. I dare say where a seller has blanked out the reg number of a car they’re selling, if a genuine prospective buyer asks for it then as seller will provide it - or provide the documented history of the car.

Good guess, and yes cloning happens, sure, but that fact that seller would give out the reg, makes it entirely pointless excercise.

Yes it was just to protect the reg being cloned, car sold after only 1 day on autotrader. Thanks for the input and advice from all members here and great information
