I've been looking for a few months and would say £19,750 if you were a dealer!

However, since its a private car with no credit facilities or warranty, you will have to accept less.

Here is a vcheck valuation for a 2020 car with 45,000 miles

Main dealer 18,750
Trade average 15,250
Auction 16,100
Private clean 16500

From my experience comparing vcheck with main dealers, they are typically 1000-2000 more.

I missed a 2019 car with 60,000 miles from a main dealer, it was priced at 19,750
Now = 2011 MK6 GTI - Reflex Silver
Past = 2006 MK5 GTI - Tornado Red and Solid Black

Thanks David, I did post the advert in May last year hence the question.
Still under VW warranty but now only until May so I am conscious of that as well.

I appreciate the input

There is a recent black manual PP on Autotrader at 16,100 2019, 55,000 miles. I think that will sell within one week

There aren’t many people that want the manual gearbox which hurts values.

I can’t see many with Santiago’s, Panoramic roof etc but plenty with boggo spec with 18” alloys. Makes it difficult to compare.

Agreed, its a totally base spec, add 2000 for auto, wheels and roof, gets you to £18,000?

Thanks again Dave. It does make you realise there is little value in maintaining a full dealer service history. I was always of the view it would be more desirable and would help values but it appears that view is somewhat blinkered.
I don’t think anyone necessarily values the maintenance of one car against another, from the enquiries I had last year it was people trying to chip away the price.

I always take a view,  well it’s had £x spent and the common items replaced so I won’t have to worry.
