Hi guys
Now own a mk4 1.6 s in blue. Picked it up cheap from a family member while I took my other car off the road for a few improvements.i know it's not the biggest engine but it will be used as a everyday car for work, may do a few mods to get her looking better than standard .

Is there anyway to read a fault on these like a paper clip test as I have the warning light on garage said its fine a common fault but it's bugging me I wanna know wat it is

Cheers
.

Welcome Quaquadrate
Yes, there are numerous scanners that will read fault codes on a mk4. Some are very cheap.
What’s a paper clip test by the way?
