Hello all,

Long time lurker first time poster. Owned my CS for over a year now that’s been plagued with the issues everyone else seems to have.

Newest issue which I haven’t seen anyone post is almost everytime I start the car now I get both the following error messages:

Error: Gearbox - you can drive on.
Error: Selector lever - you can drive on - please visit workshop.

This is booked in for 2 weeks time however the technician didn’t seem too bothered/concerned about the above but did mention it won’t be covered by warranty if a new gearbox is required (only 14k miles) which I just laughed. It will also be in for what could be it’s third steering wheel due to constantly disabling all assists whilst driving. I believe this is running the latest software as it was only serviced 4/6 weeks ago.

Has anyone else come across the above? Could this just be a software issue?

Any update on this CS95?  Did your dealer identify and sort the problem?

My GTI is booked in tomorrow for exactly the same error messages.
No noises or symptoms from the DSG, just "Error: selector lever. You can drive on. Please visit workshop."
Then "Error: Gearbox"
I'll post when I get the car back.

Ok, took the car in at 09:00 and they had it until 11:30 running diagnostics and checking component software versions.
The verdict is "the selector module is faulty" and must be replaced.
It's on a back order from Germany and could take up to 4 weeks.
They assured me that the car is perfectly safe to drive in the meantime.
Strangely, the error message has gone now!

So I wait for a call and then get it booked in again-I'll post back when there is any update.

It's good to know they haven't asked you to pay for a new gearbox mate.

Hello,
Just had my 2-year service. Only covered 14000 miles so far.  Oil leak spotted at the pump casing at the rear of the gearbox.  Work will be carried out under Warranty. VW dealer needs the car for 2-3 days.  Tech initial thought leak around Turbo oil seal but nothing confirmed after further inspection.
If I wanted a courtesy car would have had to wait until December, no way I'm happy with that, so it's booked in for next week.
Appreciate it's not a CS as this link refers too but just thought I'd flag it.
Cheers,
Tony.

Me too now.... last two days same error. Booked in for a look in mid July...

Also had a moan about the usual - steering wheel and mib reboots while I was at it...

Having had a new steering wheel 6 weeks ago and the Travel/SOS errors now gone.  I am now getting - "Error: Selector lever - you can drive on - please visit workshop."

This came on as I was half way into a 1500 mile trip around France.  I went with the "drive on" and nothing untoward has happened.

Anyone had it fixed yet?

Update - a bit more detail as has been into dealer twice now...

So 6 months into CS45 ownership and post-new steering wheel debacle, and dynamic cornering light recalibration after eventually making VW find a dealer who could do it as many can't I am now getting a new bunch of warnings.

Whilst driving in France in the summer I started getting a yellow warning saying "Gearbox. You can drive on". I booked it in and the gear selector actuator/Solenoid (?) was replaced. I then started getting "Select P or car will roll away" Pressing the "P" button and various restarts usually sorted it.

It went to the dealer again where they diagnosed that the new part was faulty. They replaced it again.

I collected it and drove straight home. Parking up outside my house I experienced the "gearbox, you can drive on" and the parking brake warning………alarmingly I also had a very brief RED warning which I didn’t manage to capture on camera which said “Gearbox – stop the car”.

I am awaiting a response from VW's Executive Office who are monitoring all of the issues I have experienced and the new ones.
