Remote start

I have purchased 2019 Golf r in Tornado Red 30k Miles on the cloc.

Car is going to be delivered sometime next week.
One of my mate was saying with the Volkswagen App , I believe it's called VW Connect..!
I can remote start via app, Is that True, if so it will be lovely in Winters..
Can someone please confirm if that's True..  :smiley:

Only the E-Golf's can do it I believe, as they've the Webasto heater in them.

You can retrofit a Webasto heater into the car, but it's a lot of work for little gain. It's nice when a car has it installed though.

Not in a GTI. I had a Webasto heaters in two previous diesel cars, the smell as they fired up on cold mornings was magic.
However, the exhaust manifold on the GTI (and I guess other TSI engines) is water cooled so the coolant temp hits 90 degrees C really quickly, great for heating the cabin etc.
