What's the best place to get Bonnet Lifters for VW Golf Mk1 Inc Cabriolet?

Old Skool Mk1 Golf Gli (82), Mk1 US Cab 85 and 83

Hi m8 just wanted to say you might want think twice before getting these because my brother got some for his Corrado and they started to rust like anything about a month down the line. It may have been the make of the lifter not sure just to let you know. But Personalie i think if you got your bonnet holder the one on there at the moment chromed it would look better  :cool:

Hello, I know of a bloke who put bonnets lifters on a mk2 and the bonnet sat up higher than it should. Dunno if I would do it to be honest.

ayup mate, i got some of these if you are interested? only hatch lifters with bracket mounted but do the trick, leave us your email and ill post you a pic,

Mine went really stiff after a couple of weeks and even with lube it was hard getting it back down :cry: (damn that sounds rude :shocked:)

You could use tailgate lifters off a lupo  :wink:
