Hi, newbie here.
Big VW fan and owner of a buggy and a T3 who has just inherited the engine from my dead Mk3 GTI - too rotten to weld economically. So, a lot of my interest is in the lovely 2.0 8V motor and hope to learn more about how it works, this should have been the engine in the T3 instead of the 2.0 wasserboxer IMO.
So, off to ask some daft questions elsewhere in the forum.

A shame the GTI is dead but good to hear its heart lives on!

Is it an easy swap putting an inline 4 cyl engine in a van designed to take a boxer motor?
