Very useful, thanks marley, glad you got it sorted. I found this video on how to remove the cover: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=POcLARyGikw

I have actually seen that video! (when I was googling how to gain access to the radar.

I got it off easily enough. I didn't even think about cleaning the inside of the badge to be honest!

In hindsight though? It makes perfect sense!

I wanted to "have a look" at the radar sensor thingy, to see if anything was obviously broken....there wasnt!

I'm just chuffed to get the car back working fine for a decent price!

I had visions of needing a new "radar" sensor....did a quick google for them....they werent cheap at all!

Sounds good to me! Wasn't sure if it was allowed?!

They are   Euro Performance, in Llantrisant , South Wales. (very close to the Royal Mint!).

Ive seen them recommended on other forums, and they have great feedback elsewhere too.

Cheers for that!

It was really "bugging me"! I wanted it fixed, but was worried it would cost a lot of money!

Luckily it wasnt! I still cant believe, why I didnt think of cleaning the damn inside! of the badge covering the Radar sensor!

Though saying that?

I assume even if I had managed to clean the inside of the badge, the car would probably have to be "scanned" etc. to remove the faut? I was charged £108  (including VAT)  .

Im very hapy though, that the car has gone through a "thorough scanning"! on proper diagnostic laptops etc, and a trial run was performed, whilst diagnostics/laptop etc was plugged into car.

Plus! the car was nicely vacuumed and washed too! (not forgetting the key fob battery lol!).
