Can you not opt for a combination of the two, leather outsides with cloth in the middle?

I'm going to go for leather backs and sides (like the original seats) with cloth inside. I think!! Still a tad confused but just waiting for some cloth samples to come throught the post so that should help me decide. If I cant find any nice cloth I think I'll just go for full leather. Want some unusual retro style cloth!

yeah i think half leather would look cool. in theory any kind of golf style check would look good. at edition 38 i saw a stand with a whole roll of g60 edition blue cloth!! was tempted top buy it just in case.......

Nice one Gem, good to see someone keeping it as original as possible. Will have to bang some pictures up of before and after so we can see how much better it looks.

Yeah will definately do that. Definately going for cloth seats now. Leather backs etc like the originals but cloth seats. Been sent a few samples so just deciding what cloth to go for. Getting my stereo re wired and sub in boot sorted, and boot panneled out so I can get that trimmed too. Probably won't happen till End November but not too long to wait! Definately gonna try and get to Yeadon this Sunday (if its still on?) Want to see what other people have done to their MK1's!

Yeah Leeds is still on Gem, I dont think there'll be many mk1s there (if any) as it's only a mini meet, maybe 10-15 cars possibly. My cabby will be there but it's pretty much standard really.   

If you decide to come across you need to find the Yeadon Stoops pub, it's a brewster pub and its on the road to the airport at the top of Yeadon. Maybe see you there at around 12 noon.

what time will you all be there till? As I won't finish work till 1.30, so earliest I could be there by is probably 2.30??

We should be still there by that time as some of us will be having something to eat in the pub so I reckon we'll be there until maybe 3 - 4pm. It's a good excuse to give your mk1 a blast out if nothing else.
