Was a completely different collection experience though, with all the distancing measures in place. Took less than 30mins in both instances!
Yeah, I picked up the new Karoq last week. I had to sit in the car park in my p/x car whilst they emailed the sales docs to my phone, and I had to e-sign them out in the car park. Then was basically tossed the keys to the new car in a sealed plastic bag and they shouted cheerio...!
Strange times indeed !
Minimal interaction with the salesperson at handover time would suit me just fine.
When I collected my current car, it was from a warehouse unit behind the dealer’s main premises. I didn’t want the ‘grand unveiling’ in the showroom that so,e VW dealers were doing at the time. I’d rather just be given the keys and be able to drive away - after I’ve had a good opportunity to inspect the car thoroughly for any obvious faults, defects or damage.
