Strange noise after start up - rear wiper motor?

I'm hoping someone can help I have a mk7.5 gti and shortly after start up I can here a very strange sound.  It seems to originate in the rear hatch perhaps the rear wiper.

Really hard to explain the sound it is like something is starting up / activating with a clicking sound.  I keep thinking of those shoots the supermarkets have for sending money filled tubes over your head when it happens.

Probably very normal but thought I would check here

I've no idea. Since it seems predictable why not get someone else to start the car so you can narrow the noise down?

Hi, I recently replied to a similar issue and the noise was actually coming from the headlight levelling switch, the one next to the dash dimmer switch, the switch fails and has a mind of its own. change the switch " job done "

When we got ours it took me a while to realise the strange sound from the rear hatch was the badge moving as the rear view camera poked out......!

Thanks everyone I think I've narrowed it down to the badge moving when reversing

Glad I'm not the only one. I kept wondering why my rear wiper was going when reversing, until I finally figured out it was the camera.
