Need a second car remote

Morning guys

My car only came with one remote and I’m looking to get a second one. Has everyone else got them done & programmed by VW themselves or has anyone got it done elsewhere for less?. It’s about £250 for a second remote from VW.
I’m want a remote and not just a key as I’d like to be able to get in the car and also start it. For example if the remote got broken.

I used to go to a few vw shows and there was always a guy there that had a stall there that did vw keys, Stanford hall is soon, but I don’t really go to that one much, maybe someone’s been could tell you if he goes and if he can do a mk7

I've seen a few listings on Ebay for mk7 remotes (inc programming) but that seems a bit random to me
