Ok assuming it's all working properly.
There are two switch settings on the windscreen wiper switch.
1) This gives information about the current trip, from the time you switch on till the time you switch off (and if you switch on again with in a certain period of time ot includes that in the current trip)
2) This gives the total information for all trips since the last reset.
The distance travelled should go up every mile done (not in sync with zero miles on the odo). This should be seen on either setting.
The Mph is calculated every so often (probably every minute duration or mile travelled, but don't know for sure). However if your setting is on 2, you probably won't see much difference due to the long average info.
Best thing to do is go for a drive and while driving reset it (hold it at the 0 swtich for abaour 5 secs) then after a while you should get some readings.
If nothing's happening then the MFA could be frozen and you need to reset it by either pulling the fuse(s?) or disconnecting the battery.
If the MFA isn't frozen but isn't reading then probably has connection problems, start checking the connections and at worst take the dash out and check the back of the insrument panel.
