Mirror Puddle Lights not working

Done a few searches but can’t seem to get any answers on the following

The puddle lights on both wing mirrors of my 2016 GTI have stopped working it doesn’t make a difference if I open or close via the fob or using keyless. I have changed to dynamic indicators but the puddle lights worked after fitting these as I doubled checked before putting everything back together. The car had a new battery last months at VW as the old one was knackered meaning the car wouldn’t start. I have checked all the coming home settings and these are on 10s.

Any ideas on this would be great before I start to pull apart the wing mirrors at weekend to take a look.

I can’t remember but is there an option in the menus ? Not the same but when I changed a battery key on my Vw Touareg it turned off my folding mirrors for some reason and I had to go to the menus.

The auto fold mirrors still work fine it’s just the lights on the underside, the only option I can find is the “coming home lights” which are set to 10s

All other lights on the car work fine, I thought maybe it had blown a fuse or led with the battery issues when jump starting but seems odd that it’s the same light on both mirrors
