What can i do to my lil'old 1300 to get a bit more go out of her? I know that the answer is to get a gti, but no go. Money + diabetic + age = insurance nightmare. I was thinking that the polo GT or G40 might be compatable but my limited tech knowledge lets me down. If they do match then what can get swapped? what about a webber carb? please help.

The suspension and brakes aren't brilliant on a 1300, so they will need uprating if you want to put in a engine with any performance.
