Show clock in standby mode (tick or untick, then you have a choice of four clocks which are all more attractively designed than the AID dials in the 7.5)

In my Polo GTI with the previous generation MIB2 infotainment unit, to get the clock to display on the infotainment screen, you press the ‘Menu’ button, and then go to the ‘Set Up’ menu and select ‘Display’. You’ll see an option to ‘Display time in standby mode’; touch the tick box, and the clock should now be displayed when the infotainment system is turned off with the ignition on.

I’m assuming it’ll be the same or similar process in the mk7.5 Golf with an MIB3 infotainment unit.

Thanks, will check this out when I’m back. Think I’d looked in display settings before. Thought I’d checked out the options but could well have missed this!

On the Mk7 nav pro when the screen is off you swipe left or right to change the clock.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

Same with the basic nav MIB2
Assuming the MIB3 is the same. I’ll check my son’s tomorrow.

Checked my son’s Ibiza MIB3 yesterday and it’s the same.
The same as my MIB2, the “show clock on lock screen” needs to be scrolled down to as it’s just off screen. The clocks are different on his Ibiza, the Golf MIB2 designs are quite conservative and look better to me, the Ibiza MIB3 clocks are more funky and bright in some of the options.

Didn’t know about the choice of clocks. All much nicer designs than the classic on the older units. Prefer to run mine with the sports dials showing power, boost and oil temperature, though. 😎

Finally found it! 😃

Not sure I’d been in settings off the main menu
