the first one is a pre 90

the second one is a digifant so there is no comparison my friend.

But all my valves had the air hole on the front

yep i know the 2nd one is digifant, im simply using the pic to show the base of the air box which is the same

a digifant filter will fit a late spec 16v also.

hard to explain, so here's a lsit of piperX filters for all golf models that details sizes also!
