Genuine Prets bend at the merest sight of a pothole so a set of decent reps are fine, will have a better offset and therefore look at least as good minus the heartache if you bend one.
Yeah the reps are a bit heavy but if it’s just for normal road use it’ll be fine.

Cheers im sure they will :nerd:

Any rim will break under the right circumstances of-course. But from past experience, unknown quality replicas are mere lottery and never come even close to OEM standards strength wise. They are not going to brake down under normal driving clearly but in an unfortunate incident they might end up costing much more than they originally saved you.

Insurance happy with reps?
They won’t come with paperwork and most won’t have been tested (impact test etc).

Admittedly I've never had reps but normally when I fit aftermarket wheels (and I've had more than my fair share) I just get asked what size they are and told to keep the receipt for any future claims.
The UK doesn't seem to be overly regulated with selling replica wheels unlike other EU countries. You rarely see replica wheels being sold from a lot of EU countries, and a lot of UK wheel retailers sell replicas to all sorts of countries as there is a demand for them from all over. There are a few Italian companies that still do replicas as "replacement pattern parts" but they're usually quite expensive and don't cover the very latest designs.

It's a lottery I guess, like so many things in life.
