A grade 3 r and look at current retail value

That gave me a slight heart attack about the price I paid for my GTI, until I saw the mileage and condition in the inspection report

Thank you all for your replies.

I have never contract hired/leased (PCP) a car before but will look into this avenue as well. I did notice a nice used example for £14k but it did not have sat nav, had everything else that I liked. Leather (must with young kids) and PP  with sunroof.

keep looking though maybe look for a forum car, although budget will remain 15k. Still need to drive one (or be driven in one) so hoping to get a test drive soon. Is anyone in the essex area? I am in Gidea Park/Harold wood area just in case if a member is near by. If not plan to venture out next few weeks to get a drive in.

thanks again all.

Jay

I wouldn't get that hung up on pleather. Fabric seats with a good water/stain repellent on like gtechniq will be better in the long run.

He does mention kids - I doubt any form of water repellent will save cloth upholstery from a sticky sweet and the resulting mess from it being wedged between a kids seat and the upholstery for anything more than 10 minutes lol.

I've got the gtechniq seat protection stuff on mine and water just sits on top without sinking in. Mud and chocolate just wipes/sponges off so I stand by what I said previously.

This gives a rough idea of how the prices change year on year.

There was a lol at the end of my post, you must have missed the light hearted way it was meant.

However, I also stand by my previous statement - tell you what, when I get back from overseas, lets get together and agree a set of tests - I'll bring my (p)leather equipped car and you bring your treated cloth and we'll see what stands up best, eh?

I'd still say the fabric to be honest. Had leather before on my Tiguan and even with protection it wasn't as good as the fabric.
