Just read on another VW Golf forum which has mainly USA/Canadian members, that the under bonnet insulation pad is not fitted to North American mk7.5 Golf GTI’s. The forum member whose car didn’t have this fitted thought it may have been left off in error by the factory, but 3 new showroom mk7.5 Golfs also didn’t have the bonnet insulation pad either.

Do UK mk7.5’s still get the bonnet insulation, or is this something else to add to the penny pinching list?

My 7.5 has one but it's a 17 plate built last April so it could have changed since then. That's not much help

I can confirm my 2 week old 7.5 GTI definitely has the insulation pad under the bonnet I have just been and checked

Yep, the amp is in the spare wheel well

Nope, the amp is under the passenger seat. All that's in the spare wheel well is the sub box within the spare wheel itself. I've still definitely got my amp under the seat though.
