Unless you are heavily tuned it is a waste of money and another completely pointless thing to fit on a car used on the public roads. They are primarily used on cars that have very high boost and the turbo gets hotter than normal to protect everything near in the engine bay from damage.

I watched a post on ShopDap.com's YouTube channel that said you had to keep checking them to see if anything had soaked into them (mainly Oil) because they can be a fire risk.
Not really worth the effort unless you are Stage 3 tuning.

I'd also heard that in some cases, the thermal wrapping of turbo's and exhausts had some form of influence on the longevity of it. For instance, keeping the heat in the turbo or pipework after it can't be that good for it, can it?
