Playing Music
« on: 10 November 2017, 11:11 »
Hi Guys,

Maybe I'm being a little stupid, but playing music in the 7.5 with standard media system is a right pain.

I use Android Auto with music stored on my S8. Now the Google voice recognition isn't the best 'Play Song ....' mostly just freezes or either selects the wrong song.

And when scrolling through tracks on the media screen, after a second or so the screen will lock as the car is moving.

Is there another way to navigate the media system with Android Auto whilst driving?

I don't find too many problems with Google voice recognition. Maybe it was written in Yorkshire :D

I will say though that it can have off days, when it absolutely refuses to play ball at all, particularly deciding to unmute the audio during the voice recognition bit meaning John Humphreys gets to decide where I am going, or what I am texting the wife or what music I am listening to...

And when it gets like that, there is nothing you can do to coax it back to sanity.

Hi hope John Humphreys hasn't been harassing your wife via text. Now that would be a storey!!
