Message Access Request Android
« on: 09 October 2017, 06:40 »
Hi All
Just got a 7.5 GTD, love it.  One annoying thing that I cant seem to figure out.  Think it is more phone related though.  Every time I get in the car my Android asks to access the messages.  Doesn't matter if I tick yes or no and tick the do not ask me again box it still asks me.  Any ideas??  Certainly annoying

I know what you mean actually.

And it doesn't have a box that says "remember this choice" either.

However, another than the annoying ping, it doesn't make any difference because you can still read text messages regardless - I've stopped even bothering to say yes on the phone and it just works...

Have you tried removing both the phone from car and the car from the phone and then reconnecting it again?

100% mine does Fred, what makes it more annoying for me as i tried this both ways.  Could be running a different Android version to yourself?  Your right though, still reads text and whatsapp messages either way.  Just annoying.

Have had a play with the bluetooth options so hopefully that will sort it.  Did remove and re add before this.  I think it is a bug within Android to be honest so maybe its something i will have to grin and bear.

Is it because android auto is trying to connect? I don't bother with app connect or android auto or whatever it's called. Just connect through Bluetooth and don't let any other apps be default for anything.
