hi all, i've just been watching this video and the engine cover is on the gtd but not gti.. lol

one has battery cover and one doesn't

the gti is missing 1/2 off it is it not(front portion)?

Earlier 7 models had this but since the mid life change in 2014 the GTi has never had this part. Weight or cost saving take your pick 😃. A few guys and girls have added the front cover.

Is the battery cover there to keep the battery warmer in winter months because diesels draw more wham starting?
