Lowering springs.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of springs.
Car is a 7.5 GTD with 19" Brescias.

It's between Eibach Sportlines and VWRs.
I know how both sit, but I'm keen to know more about ride quality.
Anyone have experience of these they'd like to share?

I have been reading a lot on springs recently, I find that most people seem to side with VWR over Eibach.
The fact that VWR sit a tad lower and the front and rear lower the same amount would swing it for me.

If you google VWR springs golf GTI, you will get a few forum debates about them against other springs. Well worth a read up.

VWR all the way - didn't lose any comfort fitting g them to my GTI

Is fitting different springs a good idea on an oil burner?

I thought if you were pursuing a more sporty ride the main thing to do is to firm it up with dogbones, but the vibration from a diesel makes this impossible.

I thought if you were pursuing a more sporty ride the main thing to do is to firm it up with dogbones, but the vibration from a diesel makes this impossible.

Dogbone bushes don't do anything for the ride, it just helps with axle tramp. For a sporty ride(flatter in corners then you need to uprate the anti roll bars.

I know it's all down to personal preference but my opinion is the complete opposite and why I went for Eibach Sportlines.

It's the equal lowering front and back that sometimes make a car look like it's too low at the back compared to the front (as it makes the difference in arch gap look greater) so the lower front on the sportlines were exactly the reason I chose them.

That said, whilst it's not unbearable by any stretch, they have affected the ride quality, as any lowering spring will do.

Thanks for the replies guys.
My main purpose here is to reduce wheel arch gap and improve the appearance. As I cover 45k miles per year I'm keen to avoid ruining the ride quality. VWR seem the best option for me.

I'm currently in the same boat, want to keep the comfort just with a sportier appearance.

I'm running Vw R springs no issues also running 8.5j
