I have also been offered the two year plan for £149. Has anyone got any experience of vw taking it off people. Surely they can't if you have paid for it.

Thanks for this thread guys and the info it contains. The dealer told me to pay the PCP off after 3 months. Now I know why!!

When I paid off the finance, I asked VWFS about this. I was told that the service pack is mine regardless. I initially had a little bit of difficulty paying it off. VWFS had no record of the agreement on Tuesday despite the car having been collected on the previous Saturday. I tried on Wednesday morning, still no sign of the agreement and was told to call the dealer. I did and they said that the paperwork had been amended and the corrected details had been faxed to VWFS on the Tuesday afternoon.

Called later on Wednesday and VWFS still didn't have the agreement. Was put on hold and eventually they found my details and gave me the withdrawal figure. Be sure you ask for withdrawal and not settlement.

Mine told me that I would need to wait a month or I'd lose the deposit contribution.  Now I know he was telling porkies.

What he meant to say was that the dealership would lose their VWFS kickback.

Well if you were going to pay cash originally then they were never going to get that kickback. If you take out pcp to get VW's contribution and that is the only reason you are taking it out, then it is none of the dealer's business. If they suggest that you have to wait before you pay it off, then they are simlply lying, underhand, thieving barstewards.

I got my three letters this morning from VWFS (a week after pick-up,three days after withdrawal), one confirming my monthly payments, the second confirming my withdrawal and the third confirming my service plan.
