Interior lights Led??

Quick question for you all do all the internal lights in the Golf GTI come as LED as standard? If not has anyone replaced them with good quality ones?

The Main interior lights and footwell lights have been LED since the MK7 performance models launched, but it's only from 2016 builds that the vanity mirror lights were changed to LED from standard filament.

That leaves the glove box and boot light which have always been filament bulbs, and that hasn't changed.

Hi Scotte, all LED except the glovebox and the boot. Both can be changed to LED, the glovebox can have one of the footwell lights fitted for free if you replace the footwells with coloured LEDs. There's a guide in the mk7 maintenance section

Strange 'cause my 2014 GTI PP had LED vanity mirror lights. The only ones that were standard bulb lights were boot and glove box.

As said, curreny only the glovebox and boot light are still tungsten, all other interior lights are white LED.

This is the LED suitable for the boot, it's longer than the glovebox one, and is festoon type.

When I swapped out my footwell lights for blue LEDs, I used one of the original white footwell LEDs in the glovebox.

mines a 2016 and came all LED bar the glovebox and boot light. i changed the footwell lights to blue leds and same for the boot and glovebox (R model)...
