The work was done early May, Swindon VW (Inchcape?) unfortunately they took the photos so I don't have them. I was dealing with Justin the service manager.

It was rubbing on both the left and right side of the bumper underneath the tailgate - the left side being the worse. As far as I know they didn't adjust anything... No missing paint on the hinges either.
Current: 2017 Golf R Estate DSG, Pure White.
Previous: 2014 Golf GTD DSG, Tornado Red.

Well, to say that I'm disappointed is an understatement!

Warranty claim refused, as classed as wear and tear, so only covered for 6000 miles or 6 months. They are not in the slightest bit interested in the fact that others have had repairs done under warranty. Customer Services no help at all, although sympathetic.

Estimate from the dealer - £650 to spray the rear bumper........

Sorry to hear that GE90, I think they are being particularly unfair on you - especially seeing as it's a known issue. Not sure what else to suggest other than try one of the smart repair guys - should be way cheaper than £650.

Try contacting @VWUKHelp and complain to them. They don't like people complaining on Twitter and will do their best to help.
